About this Course
This advanced course is intended for engineers who already use STATIK in their company and want to expand their ability to handle more complex analysis tasks. The training focuses on advanced modelling options, special analyses and result interpretation, helping users understand how structural behaviour is represented within STATIK. Special attention is given to section analysis, construction stages, stability, nonlinear effects and interaction with other Cubus modules. The objective of this course is to help engineers move from basic usage to confident and efficient professional use of STATIK in demanding engineering projects.
Course language and training format
The course explanations are provided in English through a carefully synchronised AI voice-over to ensure clarity and technical consistency. The software interface shown in the videos corresponds to the original working environment used in professional projects and may appear in Spanish. This approach allows advanced users to follow real modelling and analysis workflows while maintaining full access to the technical content and engineering criteria covered in the course. All examples, concepts and design principles are identical to those used in professional Cubus training.
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for structural engineers who already work with STATIK and want to deepen their understanding of structural behaviour and advanced design criteria. It is especially suitable for: - Engineers who have completed the Structural design with STATIK (CUBUS Suite) core course - Structural designers working with reinforced concrete and prestressed structures - Engineers who want to move beyond global analysis and understand section behaviour - Professionals interested in construction stages, time-dependent effects and advanced modelling strategies - Engineers who want to improve result interpretation and develop stronger engineering judgement This course is not focused on basic software usage, but on advanced structural analysis and real design situations. Basic knowledge of STATIK is required. These courses are designed to help engineers become productive with Cubus software in real professional environments.
What will you learn?
By the end of this course, you will be able to: · Perform advanced reinforced concrete section analysis using FAGUS · Interpret stresses, efficiency and ductility in real structural elements · Design longitudinal and transverse reinforcement based on structural behaviour · Analyse complete beams section by section and understand critical zones · Evaluate shear behaviour and its interaction with longitudinal reinforcement · Model and analyse construction stages and their influence on structural response · Introduce and analyse prestressed concrete systems, including losses and time effects · Understand hyperstatic prestressing effects and long-term behaviour · Evaluate time-dependent effects such as creep, shrinkage and staged loading · Apply nonlinear analysis concepts in practical structural models · Analyse and verify steel sections using AVENA · Integrate STATIK models within BIM workflows · Develop stronger engineering judgement when interpreting result

Meet Your Instructor
José Manuel Gómez Barranco is a Civil Engineer and CEO of Cubus-Software España, with almost 30 years of professional experience working with Cubus structural analysis software. He has been responsible for the training of university students and professional engineers who use Cubus applications in their daily engineering practice, as well as for the technical support provided to Cubus-Software España clients. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in advanced structural modelling, analysis workflows and real project applications using STATIK, FAGUS, CEDRUS, PYRUS, AVENA and other Cubus modules. In this course, he shares the practical knowledge and engineering criteria developed over decades of professional use, focusing on real structural behaviour and advanced design concepts.
Student Testimonials
Discover how our course is transforming the way Civil Engineers work and design structures.
I found it to be a very comprehensive course in all aspects. It greatly improves the daily use of the programme, as well as revealing the potential of CUBUS programmes. Congratulations.
Civil Engineer
I find the Statik course has been spectacular. Congratulations on how well organised and explained it is. You can see the care that has gone into its development and the structure with which it has been designed to make it very easy to understand how to use the software and the simple and concise explanation of the data and phenomena with which the programme works and which are necessary to understand what is being done. Thank you for all the work you have put into it.
Civil Engineer
Essential for STATIK users. An investment of hours that will pay for itself from the very first project/study.
Civil Engineer
A very useful course for learning how to use the programme correctly, correcting errors and learning tricks that make it easier to use. The instructor is very clear and draws on theoretical knowledge to help you understand the programme better. In short, highly recommended.
Civil Engineer
It is a very comprehensive course for getting started with STATIK. I would recommend having some prior experience (even if only a little) with FAGUS and CEDRUS, in order to be able to complete the first examples with greater ease. You learn important concepts about how the programme works and how it can be adjusted to each structure you design, with an understanding of what is being implemented. Highly recommended.
