About the Course
FAGUS is the market-leading structural design software for the analisys and design of concrete cross section of structures and it it also used in the rest of the Cubus family applications. This course is designed to help engineers learn how to work with FAGUS for reinforced concrete cross-section analysis in professional environments. It focuses on how to define sections, materials and analysis parameters, and how to correctly interpret stresses, internal forces and safety results. The training explains the structural concepts required to understand section behaviour, while maintaining a strong focus on practical software usage. The objective is to enable engineers to confidently use FAGUS as part of their company’s structural design workflow, supporting decision-making in real projects.
Who is this course for?
This course is intended for engineers working in companies that use FAGUS for reinforced concrete section analysis and verification. It is particularly suitable for: · Engineers who already have access to FAGUS and want to learn how to use it confidently · Professionals involved in section verification and result interpretation within design teams · Engineers who need to understand and apply section analysis results in real projects · Users who want to integrate FAGUS into their company’s structural design workflow Advanced students who expect to work with Cubus software in professional environments may also benefit from this course. These courses are designed to help engineers become productive with Cubus software in real professional environments.
What will you learn?
By completing this course, you will be able to: · Define and analyse reinforced concrete sections using FAGUS · Understand nonlinear material behaviour in section analysis · Interpret stresses, strains and internal force distribution · Evaluate safety levels and structural efficiency · Analyse cracked and uncracked section behaviour · Model prestressed concrete sections and interpret their response · Understand interaction between axial force, bending and shear · Identify governing limit states in section verification · Use FAGUS results to support structural design decisions · Develop stronger engineering judgement when designing structural sections

Meet Your Instructor
José Manuel Gómez Barranco is a Civil Engineer and CEO of Cubus-Software España, with almost 30 years of professional experience working with Cubus structural analysis software. He has been responsible for the training of university students and professional engineers who use Cubus applications in their daily engineering practice, as well as for the technical support provided to Cubus-Software España clients. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in advanced structural modelling, analysis workflows and real project applications using STATIK, FAGUS, CEDRUS, PYRUS, AVENA and other Cubus modules. In this course, he shares the practical knowledge and engineering criteria developed over decades of professional use, focusing on real structural behaviour and advanced design concepts.
Student Testimonials
Discover how our course is transforming the way Civil Engineers work and design structures.
I was pleasantly surprised by the functionality of this software, as well as by the features it offers. I am very happy with everything I learned in this course under José Manuel's guidance. It is a highly recommended course for beginners to the programme, and I recommend it to professionals who want to specialise in the software. I hope to continue enjoying the Statik course...
Civil Engineer
Very useful and interesting. Very well explained by the teacher, in a very dynamic and enjoyable way, which is very suitable for those of us who were already familiar with the programme.
Civil Engineer
I find it a very practical course. You quickly learn how to use the FAGUS calculation programme and consolidate basic structural concepts. I highly recommend it.
Civil Engineer
Although I have been working with the programme for several years, taking the course has allowed me to learn new options and features of the programme that I was unaware of. This is because there is no comprehensive user manual for the programme. For this reason, I would recommend that all users take this course, as it is almost essential. I must also congratulate Jose Manuel for his clear presentation. The examples and explanations are very clear and precise. Thank you very much and best regards.
Civil Engineer
I have happily completed the Fagus course. I was interested not only in learning about the programme itself, but also in understanding its interrelationships with Statik. Both objectives have been fully achieved. I particularly appreciate the course content and the effort made to explain the programme in a broad context. I loved the possibilities offered by Fagus in terms of thermal calculations, which may be very important in the future, and everything related to understanding shear treatment in Fagus, which will allow me to use this calculation option with confidence and knowledge and in an integrated manner with other Cubus programmes in the future. In short, I really enjoyed the course. Thank you! My sincere congratulations!
