About the Course

This course provides a structured introduction to working with STATIK in a professional engineering environment. It is designed for engineers who need to learn how to model structural systems, define loads and perform global structural analysis using STATIK as part of their company’s daily workflow. The course explains the logic behind the software, common modelling strategies and typical sources of errors, helping users understand not only what to define, but why it must be defined that way. Through step-by-step examples, engineers learn how to build reliable models and interpret results with confidence, developing the foundation required to work effectively with STATIK in real projects.

Language and course format

The software interface shown throughout the course is in Spanish, as it reflects the original working environment used in professional projects. The course content is delivered in English through high-quality AI voice-over, carefully synchronised with the original explanations to ensure clarity and technical accuracy. This approach allows international engineers to access the same technical training and real workflows, while maintaining full consistency with the original course content. All concepts, examples and engineering criteria are identical to the Spanish version of the course.

Who is this course for?

This course is designed for engineers who need to learn how to work with STATIK in a professional environment. It is especially suitable for: · Engineers whose company uses STATIK for structural modelling and analysis · Professionals who want to become operational with STATIK step by step · Engineers joining teams where STATIK is part of the standard analysis workflow · Users who want to understand how to model structures correctly and interpret results reliably The course is also suitable for students who will encounter STATIK in their future professional practice. These courses are designed to help engineers become productive with Cubus software in real professional environments.

What will you learn?

By completing this course, you will be able to: · create reliable 2D and 3D structural models in STATIK · define cross-sections, members, nodes and supports · introduce and manage different types of loads and load combinations · understand how STATIK solves structures internally · detect and avoid common stability and modelling issues · use influence lines and load hypothesis generators · analyse first and second order structural behaviour · generate and interpret envelopes (ULS, SLS) · visualize results, export data and document models effectively This course emphasises both software proficiency and engineering judgement so that STATIK becomes a true engineering tool rather than a black box.

Meet Your Instructor

José Manuel Gómez Barranco is a Civil Engineer and CEO of Cubus-Software España, with almost 30 years of professional experience working with Cubus structural analysis software. He has been responsible for the training of university students and professional engineers who use Cubus applications in their daily engineering practice, as well as for the technical support provided to Cubus-Software España clients. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in advanced structural modelling, analysis workflows and real project applications using STATIK, FAGUS, CEDRUS, PYRUS, AVENA and other Cubus modules. In this course, he shares the practical knowledge and engineering criteria developed over decades of professional use, focusing on real structural behaviour and advanced design concepts.

Student Testimonials

Discover how our course is transforming the way Civil Engineers work and design structures.

I found it to be a very comprehensive course in all aspects. It greatly improves the daily use of the programme, as well as revealing the potential of CUBUS programmes. Congratulations.
Andrés Pajuelo Valle

Civil Engineer

A very useful course for learning how to use the programme correctly, correcting errors and learning tricks that make it easier to use. The instructor is very clear and draws on theoretical knowledge to help you understand the programme better.  In short, highly recommended.
Alejandro Calleja Ortega

Civil Engineer

I find the Statik course has been spectacular. Congratulations on how well organised and explained it is. You can see the care that has gone into its development and the structure with which it has been designed to make it very easy to understand how to use the software and the simple and concise explanation of the data and phenomena with which the programme works and which are necessary to understand what is being done. Thank you for all the work you have put into it.
Felipe

Civil Engineer

It is a very comprehensive course for getting started with STATIK. I would recommend having some prior experience (even if only a little) with FAGUS and CEDRUS, in order to be able to complete the first examples with greater ease. You learn important concepts about how the programme works and how it can be adjusted to each structure you design, with an understanding of what is being implemented. Highly recommended.
Noelia Veiga Fernández

Civil Engineer

Essential for STATIK users. An investment of hours that will pay for itself from the very first project/study.
Alejandro Sahuquillo Jiménez
