About the Course

STATIK is a professional structural analysis software used to model and analyse 2D and 3D frame and truss structures, from simple systems to complex real-world projects. Its strength lies in the precision of its modelling options and in the transparency of its results — provided it is used correctly. This course is designed to help you understand how STATIK works and how to use it effectively in engineering practice. You will learn not only where to click, but how modelling decisions, loads, analysis settings and combinations affect the structural response. By completing this course, you will be able to build reliable models, avoid common stability and modelling errors, and confidently interpret results, making STATIK a true engineering tool rather than a black box.

STATIK – Complete Structural Analysis Course

From first models to advanced load combinations and envelopes: This course is a comprehensive and structured training on STATIK, designed for structural and civil engineers who want to fully understand how STATIK works and how to use it correctly in real projects. You will start from the fundamentals and progressively move towards advanced modelling, load definition, second-order analysis, envelopes, and result interpretation, always supported by real examples, practical workflows, and engineering reasoning. This is not a “click-and-forget” tutorial. It is a course to think like an engineer while using STATIK. What this course covers The course is organised in a clear, logical progression, mirroring how engineers actually work on real structures: 🔹 2D and 3D structural modelling . Frames and trusses (portals, lattice structures, spatial frames) . Bars, nodes, supports, hinges, eccentricities and local/global axes . Section definition, variable depth, construction stages . Surfaces and load transfer models 🔹 Loads and actions – in depth . Permanent, variable and environmental loads . Linear, point and surface loads . Temperature loads, deformation and curvature . Load hypotheses and generators (traffic, cranes, general loads) . Influence lines and unfavourable load patterns 🔹 Analysis and structural behaviour . First-order and second-order analysis . Instabilities and numerical problems: how to detect and fix them . Internal logic of STATIK action combinations . Determinant load cases and governing actions . Ultimate and Serviceability Limit States (ULS / SLS) 🔹 Envelopes and combinations . Action sets and envelope specification . Combination generators for envelopes . Practical examples for buildings and bridges . Understanding concomitance and governing effects 🔹 Results and interpretation . Internal forces, displacements and reactions . Result layers, labelling and filtering . Identifying governing load cases in sections . Result visualisation, animations and rendered views . Exporting results to Excel for documentation Learning by real examples Throughout the course you will work with complete, realistic examples, including: . A 2D portal frame from scratch . A truss structure with full load modelling and envelopes . A complete 3D structure with surfaces and spatial load transfer Each example is developed step by step, including: . Modelling decisions . Load definition . Analysis settings . Result interpretation . Typical mistakes and how to avoid them Quizzes to consolidate understanding The course includes regular quizzes and detailed answers on key topics such as: - Section dimensions and stiffness - Axial and bending rigidity - Supports and boundary conditions - Eccentricities - Load patterns and envelopes These quizzes are designed to ensure you understand the structural behaviour, not just the software interface. Who this course is for This course is ideal for: - Structural and civil engineers using STATIK in professional practice - Engineers migrating to STATIK from other analysis software - Offices looking for a solid internal training standard - Engineers who want to trust their results and models Why take this course? - STATIK is a powerful and flexible tool — but its true strength lies in correct modelling and informed interpretation. After this course, you will: - Model structures more efficiently - Avoid typical stability and modelling errors - Understand why results change — and when they should not - Use STATIK with confidence on real projects If you want to move beyond buttons and truly master STATIK, this course is for you.

Student Testimonials

Discover how our course is transforming the way Civil Engineers work and design structures.

I found it to be a very comprehensive course in all aspects. It greatly improves the daily use of the programme, as well as revealing the potential of CUBUS programmes. Congratulations.
Andrés Pajuelo Valle

Civil Engineer

A very useful course for learning how to use the programme correctly, correcting errors and learning tricks that make it easier to use. The instructor is very clear and draws on theoretical knowledge to help you understand the programme better.  In short, highly recommended.
Alejandro Calleja Ortega

Civil Engineer

I find the Statik course has been spectacular. Congratulations on how well organised and explained it is. You can see the care that has gone into its development and the structure with which it has been designed to make it very easy to understand how to use the software and the simple and concise explanation of the data and phenomena with which the programme works and which are necessary to understand what is being done. Thank you for all the work you have put into it.
Felipe

Civil Engineer

It is a very comprehensive course for getting started with STATIK. I would recommend having some prior experience (even if only a little) with FAGUS and CEDRUS, in order to be able to complete the first examples with greater ease. You learn important concepts about how the programme works and how it can be adjusted to each structure you design, with an understanding of what is being implemented. Highly recommended.
Noelia Veiga Fernández

Civil Engineer

Essential for STATIK users. An investment of hours that will pay for itself from the very first project/study.
Alejandro Sahuquillo Jiménez

Student license option

After completing the payment, participants may request a temporary student license for STATIK. This license is valid for 2 months, which corresponds to the time available to complete the course. As an added benefit, the student license provides access to the full CUBUS software suite, allowing participants to explore and practice with other CUBUS programs beyond the specific course content. The student license is intended exclusively for training and learning purposes. Projects created with this license cannot be opened or used with a professional license and must not be used for professional or commercial work. The license is optional and must be requested explicitly, as some participants may already have access to the software through their company. To request the student license, please contact:  [email protected]

Why is the price so low?

Our flagship course usually sells for nearly €600. However, we wanted to make this advanced training accessible to a global audience without the high production costs. To offer you this course at €200, we made a strategic trade-off: 1.- Visuals: The video tutorials retain the original Spanish interface. While the menus are in Spanish, the icons and structural concepts are universal, making it easy to follow. 2.- Audio: We utilized state-of-the-art AI technology (ElevenLabs) for the English narration. The audio is crystal clear, perfectly paced, and 100% accurate to the engineering concepts. The Result: You get the exact same high-level engineering expertise as the premium version, at one third of the cost.
